Planning a wedding is an exciting journey filled with dreams and visions of the perfect day. Touring a venue like Agape Acres Barn is a crucial step in turning those dreams into reality. This barn offers a unique blend of rustic charm and elegant space, making it a popular choice for couples looking for a memorable setting. Knowing what to expect during your tour can help you visualize your wedding day and make informed decisions.
Arrival and First Impressions
When you arrive at Agape Acres Barn, the first thing you’ll notice is the peaceful countryside setting with an elegant but simple atmosphere. The barn stands out with its classic hoop, gothic roof line structure and spacious grounds. This calm environment allows you to imagine your ceremony and reception surrounded by nature, while being not too far from restaurants, shopping and lodging.
Expect a warm welcome from the venue staff (mainly Mandy) who will guide you through the property. They often start by sharing the barn’s history and what makes it special. This introduction helps set the tone and gives you a sense of the venue’s character.
Exploring the Ceremony Space
Agape Acres Barn provides a versatile ceremony space that can be tailored to match your vision. During the tour, you'll explore the outdoor areas where many couples choose to exchange vows under the open sky, beneath our string lights, or against a backdrop of trees. Outdoor ceremonies at Agape Acres come with a distinctive feature. As guests arrive, our parking attendants guide them to the back of the barn where the ceremony takes place, while the barn doors remain closed to guests. (This allows the wedding party to gather themselves inside the barn as guests arrive.) When the ceremony starts, the Agape Acres staff opens the carriage doors for the wedding party to make their entrance from the barn and walk down the aisle. The doors are then closed and reopened for the grand entrance of the bride, the main character of the day!

Pay attention to:
Seating arrangements: The barn can accommodate various setups, from traditional rows to symphony style seating.
Natural lighting: Notice how the sunlight filters through the trees and how it changes throughout the day.
Backdrop options: The rustic barn doors, floral arches, or natural greenery can all serve as beautiful backdrops for your ceremony photos.
The venue staff can also discuss options for weather contingencies, and indoor alternatives, so you feel confident no matter the forecast.
Touring the Reception Area
Inside the barn, you’ll find a spacious, open floor plan with high ceilings and exposed wooden arched beams and the most gorgeous chandelier ever! This space is ready to be transformed according to your wedding theme.
Key features to explore include:
Dance floor space: We have an outdoor checkered patio dance floor. First dances typically happen upstairs under the massive chandelier.
Dining setup: Visualize where tables and chairs will go, and ask about the maximum guest capacity.
Lighting options: The barn often features string lights, chandeliers, or the possibility to add your own lighting to create the perfect mood.
Sound system: Inquire about audio equipment or space for a DJ or band.
The rustic charm combined with modern amenities makes this area ideal for both formal dinners and lively celebrations.

Amenities and Additional Spaces
Beyond the main ceremony and reception areas, Agape Acres Barn offers several useful amenities:
Bridal suite: A private room where the bride and bridal party can prepare and relax.
Groom’s Loft: A space for the groom and groomsmen to get ready.
Restrooms: Clean and conveniently located for guests.
